While the steps to healing look different for each person, these basic self-care tools can help set you on the path to creating a life of health and vitality.

Beginning with the small things is most important. These small acts are a direct reflection of our values, and our beliefs about ourselves and our place in the world. Take the next few weeks to observe yourself and your thoughts. What feels “off” in your day? What do you love doing that consisently gets pushed to the side because you are too busy? What thoughts about yourself or fears are running through your mind like a record player? Awareness is key.

Once you are aware, then change can come. This can be a painful, yet very exciting process: grieving time lost in worry and fear, the pain of feeling what you have been avoiding for many years, yet stepping into freedom, lightness, and enjoyment of life on the other side (which is well worth it!).
